USBhost-64 driver and field application revisited

I was reviewing one of the field applications for USBhost-64 today, the tape dumping one that makes a digital backup of tapes to an USB drive. While examining the code of 2 core USBhost-64 driver wrappers for optimizations, I observed that there’s room for quite some. In other words, USBhost-64 can perform even faster than what it does 🙂

I am not going to go back to the original wrappers to apply those optimizations any time soon as these were thoroughly tested as part of USB-BASIC. However, I took notes on what I will change in future. At the same time I will make sure that the rewrite of the tape dumping tool benefits of these, along with the tape mastering tool 🙂
