It is a bit early to state whether the TAP v2 playback implementation I wrote is fully functional. In fact, for the time being I only have access to TAP v2 files that I produced from my own RAW DMP files written by DC2N5 with support for half-waves. These TAP files are not ideal for giving out an opinion as they don’t sound just a clean as TAP files that were remastered/cleaned upfront.
What this means is that I will have to hook together DC2N5 and DC2N3 and sample the output from the former using the latter, as I had done in the past.
Anyway, once confirmed that the TAP v2 playback is working as expected, I can comfortably say that my job on the DC2N5 framework is complete so I can move on to finishing the graphic user interface 🙂
