DC2N5 TAP v2 playback tested successfully

This morning I had some time to finish the testing of TAP version 2 playback in DC2N5.

The way I organized this is by first making a dump of my copy of Silkworm with halfwaves, using DC2N5 itself. Then I converted the resulting DMP file to TAP v2 and finally I played it back in DC2N5 while DC2N3 was dumping the result: 100% success 🙂

Oddly enough the TAP v2 file does not work in VICE 2.4 x64, but I am not sure whether TAP version 2 is supposed to be supported as it is more of a requirement for certain C16 tapes.

The next thing I will do is to double check the TAP v2 playback implementation in DC2N2 and DC2N3 as a refresher.
