There you go, after dinner I had some time to include the CBM ROM filename extraction into the DC2N4 USB serial GUI client 🙂
The application itself is still so lightweight that it hits at most 3% usage on my old PC and the dumping process is as reliable as it can possibly be still. Here’s part of the TAPClean report for my dumping tests with the new feature enabled:
TAP Name : D:\_development\dc2n\dc2n-4-serial\dumps-GUI2\Silkworm12.dmp TAP Size : 536694 bytes (524 kB) TAP Version : 1 Recognized : 100% Data Files : 6 Pauses : 5 Gaps : 0 Magic CRC32 : 49ABF328 TAP Time : 4:17.25 Bootable : YES (1 part, name: SILKWORM) Loader ID : Freeload (or clone) Overall Result : FAIL Header test : PASS [Sig: OK] [Ver: OK] [Siz: OK] Recognition test : PASS [536674 of 536674 bytes accounted for] [100%] Checksum test : PASS [6 of 6 checksummed files OK] Read test : PASS [0 Errors] Optimization test : FAIL [0 of 6 files OK]
As soon as I manage to find (or make) a tape that uses Turbotape 250 I will also test the filename extraction module for that loader too 😉
Looking really good 🙂
