Taking a short break, but leaving a tiny surprise behind

Starting from next week I shall have a break from all things software and I probably won’t be able to reply to contact requests/emails.

For this reason, and also because Andy has been quite active testing it, I thought to publish a further little update for the IECHost GUI client that allows users to configure retry options when dumping disks to D64 files. Namely, users can now select the maximum number of sector errors beyond which no retries will be attempted and the number of sector read retries to perform in case of errors.

Here’s a screenshot with default, albeit finger-in-the-air, values:

I feel an obligation towards IECHost users to try and avoid they damage their drives unwillingly, so I am not allowing more than 25 read retries at this time. This might change in future or it might not, depending on the feedback I receive from users.

Enjoy and catch you in a while!
