More software updates!

Version 4.3 binaries of the DC2N4-LC multi-threaded GUI client were published within my Software page.
The single update in this release was suggested by Paul (Ziggy72): an option to keep the client’s windows and dialogs always on top. The benefits of such an option are clear: users can keep an eye on the tape backup process while they do other stuff on their PCs, such as watching YouTube videos, doing research, etc.

I would also like to thank Paul for testing preview versions of the update and providing valuable feedback!

Within the same Software page I also published version 1.1 binaries of my filename extractors. For the time being I am keeping the CBM ROM one separate from the Turbo Tape 250 one, but I might merge them into a single tool in future.

I also wrote a gist that uses the CBM ROM filename extractor in order to append the name of the first CBM ROM file found in each TAP file to the TAP filename itself. It requires a bash equivalent under Windows. If you have Git installed, you can use Git Bash.
If you want to also rename the DMP file corresponding to a TAP file being renamed, simply add the following line after the existing mv instruction:

mv "${filename%.*}.DMP" "${filename%.*}_${cbm_name}.DMP"

Enjoy!
