Dumping Ocean cartridges: Success

Today I finished the latest changes to my C=64 Cartridge dumper, which looks as per below:

C64CartDumper - Robocop 2 by Luigi Di Fraia
C64CartDumper – Robocop 2

I then went for an end-to-end test, dumping my own copy of Robocop 2:

Not only the game appears to work fine, but the binary data checks perfectly with an online version of the cartridge I found previosuly:

>cartconv.exe -t bin -i "Robocop 2 (1990)(Ocean Software).crt" -o "Robocop 2 (1990)(Ocean Software).bin"
Input file : Robocop 2 (1990)(Ocean Software).crt
Output file : Robocop 2 (1990)(Ocean Software).bin
Conversion from Ocean .crt to binary format successful.

>sum *.bin
41242 256 Robocop 2 (1990)(Ocean Software).bin
41242 256 output.bin

Thanks go to http://www.c64-wiki.de for their schematic diagram of Robocop 2’s cartridge (https://www.c64-wiki.de/wiki/RoboCop_2) and to Sönke Smiletzki for offering to fund the acquisition of the cartridge.

Stay tuned for more!
